Description

Polyurethane waterproof coating delivers durable, flexible protection for various surfaces, providing superior waterproofing. It forms by reacting polyether polyols with isocyanates, creating a tough, seamless polyurethane structure that resists water and environmental stress. This coating excels in applications requiring high elasticity, flexibility, and long-term performance, such as on roofs, floors, basements, and other moisture-prone surfaces.

Polyurethane waterproof coatings are classified into single-component and two-component systems.

Single Component Polyurethane Waterproof Coating

This flexible waterproof coating utilizes isocyanate and polyether polyol as the main raw materials, along with select additives and fillers. The coating forms a tough, seamless, and flexible waterproof layer when applied to a substrate. The reaction between the NCO (isocyanate) groups in the prepolymer and the rubber-like components in the air leads to the polyurethane polymerization, resulting in a durable, rubber-like waterproof film that adheres strongly to the surface.

Features for Single Component Polyurethane Waterproof Coating

1) Easy operation, no special requirements about base layer.

2) High tensile strength and elongation, excellent performance to high and low temperature.

3) The coating is typically applied in three layers based on the desired thickness of the waterproof film. Each layer is applied and cured according to the project requirements. Once fully cured, a protective layer should be applied to safeguard the waterproof film and enhance its durability.

4) Strong cohesive force, no need other chemical auxiliaries

5) The color is customizable to meet the customer’s specific requirements.

Double Components Polyurethane Waterproof Coating

The product consists of Group A and Group B components:

Group A is an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, synthesized through the polycondensation of polyether and isocyanate.
Group B is a colored liquid mixture, containing plasticizers, curing agents, thickening agents, coagulants, and fillers.

When Group A and Group B are mixed thoroughly and in the correct proportions, the resulting blend is applied to the waterproof surface. The mixture cross-links and cures at room temperature, forming an elastic, rubber-like coating that adheres seamlessly to the substrate and provides durable waterproofing protection.

Features for Double Components Polyurethane Waterproof Coating

1) After solidification, coating film can be no joints, complete waterproof layer with good elasticity.

2) The coating film adheres strongly to concrete, wood, metal, ceramic, and asbestos shingles. It can also function as a binding agent.

3) Easy operation, mix Group A and B evenly and proportionally, then brush it on the base layer.

4) Simple maintenance only maintain the broken area, high efficiency and low cost.

Polyurethane Waterproof Coating Operation Points

1) Basement should be firm, smooth, clean, internal corner and external corner should be circular arc,diameter of internal corner more than 50mm, extemal corner more than 10mm.

2)Suggested coating dosage, thickness of 1mm be 1.3-1.5 kg/m2.

3) Brush the basement evenly several times (generally 3-4 times), later brushing should be after
solidification of former brushing.

4) Coating film thickness, underground 1.2-2.0mm, bath room ≥1.5mm, when adding reinforced materials between coating films, bottom coating film ≥ 1.0mm, upper coating film ≥ 0.5mm.

5) Avoid using diluting agents that contain alcohol, acid, nitro groups, or water.

6) Smoking and flames are prohibited.

7) Little sediment is nomal, mix evenly before operation.

8) Ensure the construction site is well-ventilated, and suspend work if it rains.

9) Use the coating materials within 40 minutes of opening.

Polyurethane Waterproof Coating Application

1) External walls, basements, balconies, kitchens and lavatories.

2) Special buildings like granaries, civil air defense works, bridge projects.

3) Speclally for the buildings where the construction conditions are complex and crisscross pipeline.
