PVC waterproofing membrane construction process
1. Prior to commencing construction, it is essential to clear any debris and refuse from the primary floor surface. The foundational layer must be thoroughly cleaned, ensuring that no sharp objects are present.
2.Apply the polyethylene film, overlapping it and securing it with a self-adhesive strip for the next phase of construction.
3. Proceed to lay the extruded foam insulation board, securing it in place with specialized fasteners.
4. For the pre-PVC waterproofing membrane, position the PVC membrane according to the designated line control points on the insulation layer, ensuring that the laying direction aligns with the orientation of the pressure plate’s corrugation.Lay the PVC membrane flat and loose over the insulation, keeping it straight and untwisted. Trim the 120mm lap width as needed.
5.Secure the
PVC membranes with fasteners and gaskets, positioning them 30mm from the coil edge, aligned with the marking line.
6.Overlap the PVC membranes at the seams, placing fasteners and gaskets beneath the waterproof layer. Weld each lap joint, and if using double welds, perform aeration tests.
7. For node processing, cut the PVC waterproof sheet material to fit the corresponding node, and utilize a hand-held welding torch to weld the sheet to the larger PVC waterproof sheet.
8. The final step involves securing the PVC waterproofing material at the head, fastening it with a bead, and sealing it with an appropriate sealant.
